Great wedding venue
My husband and I had our wedding at the Kilgour Scottish Centre a few weeks ago and they were wonderful. The location is gorgeous and the rental is very reasonably priced. Kathleene is so helpful and was very understanding about my craziness during planning. She even went out of her way to obtain special requests for us and put up with all our ridiculous random things we wanted to do (an entire room dedicated to games including what turned out to be an enormous Giant Jenga tournament lol.) I would rent this location for every large party I need to host, and I'm so glad my wedding was there!

Many good people work here. Never had a better place to hold my events. Very reasonably priced, too.

The Kilgour was the perfect place for us to have our reception. Kathleen was tremendously helpful. We would highly recommend anyone to have their event there.

Perfectly rustic
The Kilgour was just what we were looking for in a reception hall. We wanted a space with rustic character, and with the wood beams and stone fireplaces the Kilgour has just that. We actually liked the hall so much and the fact that it was affordable that we chose it for our wedding even though it was an hour from our ideal location. It was nice to be able to choose and do our own decorating with no unnecessary limitations that you find at some halls and we were able to choose and use our own caterer which was a must for us. We did like that they had their own bar and bar packages which made planning that part of the day easy. Also, everyone at the wedding loved the bartenders and said they were great. Having the whole building for our reception made it nice for set up and not having to deal with other people being around, and made it more intimate. The only thing I would have to say worried me some is that we weren’t guaranteed the day before the wedding for set up and I was nervous up until the week before that someone might book the hall and then when would we set up? But it all worked out and we were able to set up the afternoon before, although we were limited on the set up time, so I would recommend bringing lots of helping hands, that’s what we did and it went fine. Also, make sure you have someone there to cut your cake though, because their staff did not know how with the 4 tier cake and my chef maid of honor had to do it

Great atmosphere
We were looking for a site with some character and found just the right place at the Kilgour Centre. The beamed ceilings and fireplaces provided a homey atmosphere. Being the only event on site made the reception very intimate. Kathleene was a delight to work with and made all my daughters wishes come true. No one could have asked for a better night. Thank you.
