176th Annual St. Andrew’s Highland Games Saturday, August 2, 2025

We had a wonderful time judging the 2025 Shortbread Contest on Saturday, August 2nd, at the 176th Annual St. Andrew’s Highland Games, held at Historic Greenmead Park in Livonia, MI. Thank you to the Judges’ Panel!

Here is Diane’s Award Winning Recipe for Shortbread

Ingredients:
1 Pound Butter (Softened)
1 Cup Sugar
3 Cups Flour
1 Cup White Rice Flour
 
Instructions:
  1. Mix all to smooth dough.
  2. Spread evenly in 15”x9” Pan
  3. Prick with a fork.
  4. Bake 50 minutes in a 350° oven. Cut immediately and sprinkle generously with sugar.
